The navigation and multimedia system developed by Pioneer is a device packed with the latest technology in the field of navigation and entertainment. Additional features like Bluetooth, 30GB hard drive and hands free facility for cellphones is also available.
The system comes with a XM Nav Traffic service that provides the driver with a facility to stay ahead of traffic by providing continuous traffic information via satellite. The navigation system is also compatible with Pioneer’s iPod control. It can also access the iPod library through its car stereo. The good thing about Pioneer Avic-Z3 is that it remembers the frequently used roads and uses this information in future to navigate. This is called familiar path routing feature. The driver has an access to information which he can use in emergency situation by using the Roadside Assistance Display.
The voice recognition system is smart as it accepts multiple commands. The system offers door to door pinpoint address data. It gives a 3D view of selected metropolitan cities.
