The PIONEER AVIC-N 1: AN OVERVIEW

Pioneer AVIC N1 is the navigation system by Pioneer. It is the new breed Avic that combines high quality entertainment features with a superb navigation database. It supports a 6.5inches touch screen with TFT active- matrix LCD monitor. The screen is motorized. The system for the first time gives your vehicle’s performance with eight different Vehicles Dynamics Display. The device fits easily into the most standard dashboard opening in all the modern vehicles. The system features a hideaway box also where all the outputs and inputs can be easily found.

The Avic is programmed with detailed street maps and more than 12 million points of interest including gas stations, hotels and restaurants. It has two map DVDs that cover the USA. It also gives you an option to remove the map DVD and turn on to your favorite music from CDs and MP3s while you still get the directions for the road .The system has 64MB memory. While driving, your screen gives you several specifications of your vehicle dynamics such as, speed, angular velocity, vehicle slope angle, lateral G- force and acceleration. Thus Pioneer Avic-N1 gives you a great insight of what your car can do.

The GPS antenna, internal gyroscope and your vehicle speed sensor monitors your position. The device supports a rear camera input and a 3 band parametric EQ. Its tri-zone capability feature really adds to the overall entertainment and functionality of the navigation system. In this feature the driver can listen to the radio at the front, the back seat passenger can have DVD signal and enjoy videos and the car still keeps the navigation system running for you. You also have the advantage of retracting your monitor while you are driving. The system has a ten character secondary system display that helps you while the monitor is closed.

The Pioneer Avic N 1 comes with FM/AM radios with 18 preset stations for FM radio and 6 preset stations for AM radio. It has the best station memory and the gives 75.0dBof radio-signal –to noise ratio. The media support has CD, DVD, CD-RW, CD-R and DVD-R. Also the system has an MP3 playback facility. It can select multi language and multi camera angle for you. The navigation features include voice navigation with the facility to instruct the driver about jams, toll roads, freeways and short routes.

The system also offers various expandability features to give you maximum satisfaction. You can add a DVD and CD changer to it’s in- built control. You can even go for a XM or SIRIUS satellite Radio Tuner and a separate game system can also be added to the video/audio player. You can also play your iPod through your stereo.
