The navigation system by Pioneer is easy to use and pleasant to look. The new Pioneer Avic- D1 is a beautiful device offering user friendly features. The layout is simple and can be fitted easily in many modern vehicles into your car’s dashboard in the factory - fit fashion. The device gives you an easy reach as the basic keys for control are placed around the screen. The display panel is large (6.5 - inch) and easy to read and the system is supported by an intuitive touch panel.
An array of most modern features comes along with the system. It provides full media experience with AM and FM radio, WMA and MP3. The TFT touch screen is motorized with LCD monitor having an option of adjustable angles for display. The device plays CDs and CD- R/RWs. Separate CD and DVD-ROM slots are available in the system. The GPS navigation includes two map DVDs and a GPS antenna. The device offers a unique Roadside Assistance display and also comes a one year free Roadside Assistance Service.

The music can be enjoyed even while the navigation is operative due to its double disc slots; one is for the navigation map DVD – ROM and the other for CD. The user is not required to eject map if he wants to listen to the music.
The system provides 11 million points of interest (POI) which is available all throughout the USA, Alaska, Canada and Hawaii. The POI offers colorful and easy –to- recognize icons and logos all along you are guided to your route.
The Pioneer Avic-D1 navigation system is fast, you just need to touch the icons in the large screen to navigate menus, change the map views and plot routes. The status indicator gives current location information, an estimated time to reach your destination and turn distances.
